About Tam's Pasties

Family-run artisan bakers • Est. 2021 • Manchester

Our story

Tam's Pasties was born from a simple idea: what if a British pasty could carry the warmth, spice and soul of African cooking? Founders Dougie Tamumo and Leanne Andrews set out to answer that question — and Manchester has been tasting the results since 2021.

From a family kitchen in Greater Manchester, we craft every pasty by hand. No production lines. No cutting corners. Just honest, generous food made with the kind of care you can taste — golden pastry, bold fillings, and that unmistakable handmade finish.

We're proud to be a family-run artisan business, serving our community with fresh pasties, catering packages and event orders. Whether you're grabbing lunch or feeding a crowd, Tam's is food made properly.

What we stand for

The values behind every bake that leaves our kitchen.

Artisan craft

Every pasty is shaped, filled and crimped by hand. We believe food tastes better when a real person made it — not a machine.

Heritage & fusion

African heritage and British tradition aren't opposites — they're the heart of what makes Tam's unique. Bold spice meets golden comfort.

Quality ingredients

We source locally wherever we can and never compromise on what goes inside our pastry. Good ingredients make good pasties — simple as that.

Community first

We're Manchester through and through. Markets, events, workplaces and family tables — that's where Tam's belongs.

“More than just a pasty — Tamuno's Kitchen is the home of Tam's Pasties. A place where African flavour and British comfort come together in every crimped, golden bake.”

— Dougie & Leanne

The craft

Making a Tam's pasty isn't complicated — but it does take skill, patience and pride. Here's what goes into every one:

  • Pastry rolled by hand — buttery shortcrust, rolled fresh
  • Fillings slow-cooked — flavours developed, never rushed
  • Generous portions — we don't do stingy pasties
  • Traditional crimping — the hallmark of a proper pasty
  • Baked to golden — crisp crust, ready to eat

That's the Tam's standard. No shortcuts. No exceptions.
